Tony Childress
Owner/President

Owner/President, P.E., S.E., Tony is a leader in redefining the role of engineering in commercial and residential construction. He is the owner and founder of Childress Engineering Services, Inc., and has over 20 years of experience in design, consultation and management to architects, builders, contractors and manufacturers.

Matthew L Sams
Senior Vice President

Mr. Sams joined SC Wright Group in 2003 and has three decades combined experience in the construction forensic industry. He has a proven ability to lead a forensic investigation with a strong analytical approach and a determinate goal toward resolution. Mr. Sams has provided deposition/trial testimony on numerous occasions defending general contractors, developers, subcontractors and owners, and holds active General Contractor licenses in California, Montana, Nebraska and the City of Dallas, TX. Mr. Sams has actively worked in the construction industry since 1977.

Tracie L. Maxwell
Vice President of Operations

Ms. Maxwell, as part of our corporate executive team, brings a combined total of 30 plus years expertise in property management, business management and forensic construction defect case management. Ms. Maxwell has been with SC Wright Group since 2003. Currently, Ms. Maxwell’s role includes responsibility for consulting project management, daily operations, business development, training of technical administrators and project managers, as well as ensuring that existing workflow systems are dynamic, valuable and cost-effective for the benefit of both our clients and our company.

Michael J. Maxwell
Vice President of Consulting

Mr. Maxwell holds an active General Building Contractor’s license in the State of California and the City of Dallas, TX.. For the past 40 years, Mr. Maxwell has been active in the forensic construction industry, including residential, commercial, institutional, and hospitality industries and is frequently requested to participate in construction matters that include construction defect litigation, personal injury, ADA Compliance, and wrongful death. Mr. Maxwell has the privilege of providing deposition/trial testimony on numerous occasions, defending general contractors, developers, subcontractors and owners.​

JAy Nadeau
senior consultant/expert

Jay joined SC Wright Group in 2022, bringing more than 25 years of construction experience. He is licensed as a Class B General Contractor in California and a KB-1 Dual Building Contractor in Arizona. Jay also holds multiple industry certifications, including OSHA 30, EM 385-1-1 with 24-Hours Fall Protection, IICRC WRT/FST, and AHERA. Jay has been designated as an expert in numerous matters involving general contractors, developers, subcontractors, and property and building owners. His expertise is informed by decades of hands-on contruction experience, licensing, and technical training across a broad range of building related issues.

Selina Forte
project manager

Ms. Forte is part of SC Wright's Operations team. She has provided over 15 years of executive level support in various construction fields including civil engineering, fire & life safety, and acoustical ceilings. Ms. Forte has been with SCW since 2016. Her current role includes peer review, research, and providing client document review and analysis. In her spare time, Ms. Forte enjoys photography and spending time with friends and family.

Chantelle San Nicolas
Project manager

Chantelle joined SC Wright Group in 2024 as an Associate Consultant and quickly made her way to Project Manager, leveraging her military experience as a combat engineer with a background in welding and steel work. Her hands-on construction experience and military discipline allow her to manage complex defect investigations with precision and efficiency. At SC Wright, she supports litigation teams with expert coordination, field insight, and a commitment to delivering reliable, real-world solutions in construction defect cases.

Milton rodriguez
Project Manager

Milton joined SC Wright Group in 2024 and currently serves as a Project Manager. Born and raised in San Diego, Milton brings over four years of hands on experience in commercial waterproofing and construction. His field background and practical understanding of construction and building envelope system support his managing projects, coordinating investigations, and addressing construction related issues. Milton currently hold certifications in OSHA 30, scaffolding, and fall protection.

Douglas Calvin
lead cost estimator

Doug is the Lead Cost Estimator for SC Wright Group, where he prepares estimates for use in litigation, insurance, and private party disputes. Doug also performs consulting that include forensic building investigations, construction management consultation, and nationwide travel for disaster response. Doug holds a Class B General Contractor in the state of California. He began his own remodeling company in 2006, focusing on historical renovation and high-end residential projects, and brings that field experience directly into his forensic estimating work at SC Wright. With over 20 years experience, he has specialized expertise in projects requiring intricate craftmanship, material conservation, and complex construction detailing.

Ryan joined SC Wright in early 2025 as a seasoned Cost Estimator with experience in both commercial and residential projects. With a background in business and banking, he brings sharp analytical skills and attention to detail to every estimate. Ryan leverages industry knowledge and advanced software to deliver accurate, data-driven cost projections that align with client goals. Known for his collaborative approach, he's committed to supporting successful outcomes across all phases of construction consulting.

Devin Nichols
Associate Consultant

Devin joined the SC Wright team in 2020. In his current role as an Associate Consultant he performs forensic building investigation, emergency catastrophic building analysis (Earthquake, Tornado & Hurricane Damage), visual inspections, report writing and document analysis, locally and nationally.Devin

Gary Withers
Associate Consultant

Gary is a former maintenance supervisor with significant experience managing a luxury high rise apartment building with 800+ units. His responsibilities include building inspections, safety systems check's, unit turnovers, and repairs. He handled task like electrical, plumbing, drywall and painting, while overseeing a team of technicians to ensure efficient operations and maintenance.

Mike Presley
Associate Consultant

Michael has a robust background in the construction industry, boasting 35 years of experience across various trades, including carpentry, electrical work, and finishing. He has spent 20 years as a Union sheet metal Journeyman and Foreman, specializing in architectural and HVAC systems for substantial commercial, government, and residential projects. Michael also has proficient knowledge in commercial architectural waterproofing. In addition to his professional expertise, he is passionate about fishing and participating in local bass tournaments. He enjoys family activities, including watching his daughter play high school soccer and cherishing time with family and friends.

amBER aLEXANDER
Associate Consultant

Amber is an experienced property insurance professional with a background in claims adjusting, estimating, and property damage assessments. She has been a licensed independent adjuster since 2019. She has also maintained a Level 1 Xactimate certification since 2019. Amber was a licensed public adjuster in both Texas and Oklahoma, where she worked directly with policyholders to navigate the claims process and ensure their property losses were properly documented and evaluated. Amber is passionate about delivering accurate, thorough work while continuing to grow her skills and knowledge within the insurance industry. Outside of work, Amber enjoys traveling and creating memorable experiences with her kids. Family time has always been her top priority.

Sherry Von Fumetti
Administrative assistant

Sherry joined SC Wright in 2023 and brings over fifteen years of experience to the company. In her current role as an administrative assistant, she manages all aspects of the office, supports executives and staff and oversees social marketing. Sherry uses her positive attitude and endless energy to ensure others are successful. In her free time, she likes to bake and watch her son play soccer.
